Internship Testimonials

My internship experience with Smith Elliott Kearns & Company has been awesome. Working in the accounting field is very different from the classroom. Being a student, working as an intern at SEK&Co has been a priceless experience. I learned so much about accounting that I would have never knew while being in school. Also, everyone in the office treated me like I was working with them full time and part of the staff. I felt like I was not “just an intern” and the jobs that I completed were valuable to the firm. They always had time to answer any questions I had and help me with whatever task I was working on. Most importantly, everybody working in this office are very nice, and they make the accounting job fun! Overall, I really enjoyed both years I have been interning with SEK&Co, and I would highly recommend it to any student who plans on taking on the accounting world when they graduate.” Kyle Bushong – Spring Intern

My internship experience at Smith Elliott Kearns & Company has been great. I was encouraged to ask as many questions as I needed and the staff has made me feel like part of the team.  Being at SEK has given me the opportunity to learn from friendly and knowledgeable professionals and has allowed me to develop skills that are not taught in the classroom. My SEK experience has reassured me that I want to pursue my CPA and has allowed me to get an inside look at Accounting in the real world. I highly recommended anyone interested in becoming a CPA to make SEK their first choice when applying for internships.” Alex Courtney-Spring Intern

I had the best experience with my internship at Smith Elliott Kearns & Company.  I enjoyed being able to put what I had learned in the classroom to use, while also learning so much more.  During my time as an intern, the staff made me feel like I was more than just an intern, and they were also very eager to help me if I had questions.  This internship has made it clear to me that I want to pursue a career in public accounting and become a CPA.  I am very appreciative for my internship with SEK&Co, and I could not have asked for a better experience!  I truly recommend an internship with Smith, Elliott, Kearns & Company to a student that is looking to gain an experience in public accounting.” Victoria Ohm-Spring Intern
