INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Members of our Financial Institution Services Group are active in several industry organizations, including committees representing financial institutions in the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The firm connects regionally through our memberships in:

  • Virginia Association of Community Bankers (VACB)
  • Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers (PACB)
  • Maryland Bankers Association (MBA)

SEK&Co Members and staff have been presenters on topics related to the Bank Secrecy Act, SEC Disclosure Issues for Bank Holding Companies, and Allowance for Loan Losses; and our firm is a member of the Center for Audit Quality, an affiliation of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Participating in the stringent peer review process since 1979, our firm is committed to providing the highest quality accounting, auditing, tax, and business advisory services. Our standards are tested every three years by an AICPA peer review and we have achieved the highest quality reports on compliance with professional standards. During a peer review, an outside CPA firm performs an in-depth review of the quality of the reviewed firm’s audit practice and administrative procedures.
