Summer is the perfect time to catch up on your reading list or find a new podcast to enjoy while traveling, on vacation, or during your day-to-day routine. As summer winds down and many around the firm return from their travels, we asked our team to share the books, audiobooks, and podcasts they recommend most—whether it’s something they discovered this summer or a longtime favorite.

Their picks cover everything from literary classics and historical fiction to fantasy series, personal development, podcasts, and more. If you’re looking for something new to add to your reading or listening list, here are a few favorites from around the firm!

Alexis McKain

I have a lot of favorite books, but right now my favorite has been “Fire and Blood” by George R. R. Martin and comparing it to the HBO show “House of the Dragon”. The Season 3 finale was this month, so now I will have to wait another 2 years to compare the rest of the book to the show.

Angi Quigley

I’m an old soul…My absolute favorite reads belong to the Regency period—specifically, anything written by the incomparable Jane Austen. Her sharp wit, timeless romance, and brilliant social commentary make her books my ultimate comfort reads. My favorite is Pride and Prejudice. I have read this particular book about a dozen times over the years.  I get something new from it each time.
