With Halloween right around the corner, you may already be thinking about this year’s costume—for yourself, your kids, or both! From homemade creations and clever group themes to childhood favorites and last-minute ideas, some costumes from years past are simply unforgettable. This month, we asked our team about the best Halloween costume they've ever worn—whether it was creative, funny, spooky, or anything in between. Here's what a handful of them had to say!
Aaron Althouse
Tin Man from Wizard of Oz

Alaina Reaver
Pitbull

Andrew K.
Red Power Ranger. 1995
Angi Quigley
Probably Sadness from Inside/Out

Emma G.
One year my friend group dressed up as superheroes. I was the Flash!

Hannah Bumbaugh
Last year the family dressed up as "The Hangover". My daughter, Olivia, who was 5 months old was "Carlos" the baby, and my husband was Alan who wore her all day. I was Stu. We won our friend's Halloween costume competition.

Justin French
Richard Simmons!

Katherine Lauman
A Silver Fox. It's my favorite animal, and I love the fluffy ears! As a bonus, this photo also includes my aunt's cat in her Halloween costume as a shark.

Kristina Tucker
A few years ago, my husband and I went to a Halloween party dressed as the twins from The Shining. Our friends got a laugh out of it, and we ended up winning Best Dressed!

Laura Zeigler
Probably when I went as a gold crayon in middle school. I really liked to sparkle.
Matthew Stoops
When I was a kid, I made a 2 x 4 LEGO brick costume out of a box and 8 empty plastic butter tubs. We went to my church's Halloween party and I tried to eat a donut in it, but inevitably dropped it, and when I went down to pick it up, I fell forward and could not get back up without being lifted up.
Seth Miller
A mailman. I was able to borrow an official USPS uniform from a friend whose parent worked for USPS.

- Woody from Toy Story
- I was really proud of a cheap witch costume I made one year. I had an old teal dress that I paired with a black vest and some witchy stockings and boots, and to finish the look I found some matching scrap fabric to wrap around a dollar store satin witch hat with some sun and moon charms from a necklace.
Final thoughts
We hope that you enjoyed seeing the fun side of some of our team members and that you and your family have a great Halloween!
