With over four decades of experience at SEK, John possesses a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities his clients encounter and specializes in working with closely held family businesses and medical practices. His strengths lie in strategic planning and future-oriented business and legacy planning for clients.
John served as Managing Member at SEK from 2010 to 2024. Under his leadership, SEK experienced significant growth, increasing its workforce from 140 to over 200 employees, expanding revenue from $15 million to $34 million, and adding two offices to reach a total of six locations. In January of 2025, John transitioned into a consulting role and will continue to serve clients until his full retirement.
Prior to his tenure as Managing Member, John spent 18 years serving as Member-in-Charge of the Hanover office. His foresight and expertise were instrumental in the office’s growth and continued client satisfaction. John previously served as chair of the firm’s Management and Technology Committees and served as a member of Tax Committee. Throughout his career, he has been an integral participant in other key committees, including the Compensation and Practice Development Committees.
John has been named to Forbes’ 2025 Best-In-State CPAs list for Pennsylvania, recognizing his outstanding leadership and excellence in the accounting profession.
