Tim is the firm’s Director of Quality Control. He provides auditing and accounting services to manufacturing, construction, nonprofit, technology, and healthcare entities. Tim has experience leading several forensic accounting projects and provides consulting services related to fraud investigations and internal control reviews. Additionally, he is an active member of the firm’s peer review team and serves as Team Captain on system reviews for firms located throughout the country.

His responsibilities include planning and organizing client engagements, preparing and analyzing financial statements, evaluating internal controls, mentoring department staff, and maintaining relationships with the firm’s clients. Tim works closely with clients to achieve efficient financial operations and ensure effective corporate safeguards, while meeting regulatory and stakeholder compliance requirements. 

Tim coordinates and conducts continuing professional education (CPE) training sessions for the firm’s accounting and auditing professionals.

He serves as a member of the firm’s Management Committee; Accounting, Consulting, & Tax Services Committee; and Accounting & Auditing Committee. Tim also serves as Vice Chair of Allinial Global's National Accounting and Auditing Committee.

Q&A with Tim

  • Where are you from?

    I lived in Fort Worth, Texas and Tempe, Arizona. Growing up, my family moved around quite a bit, but those two places stand out to me because they were unique and offered many opportunities for fun and adventure.

  • What was your first job?

    I worked at Ace Hardware when I was 15. One of my responsibilities was to jockey the large U-Haul trucks the store rented to customers.

  • If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

    I am a superhero. Next question.

  • What are your hobbies?

    Traveling (I have traveled from a young age, and it is a passion that I hope to instill in my children; have been to all 50 states and 24 countries), watching Terps basketball and football

  • What makes you get out of bed every day?

    I believe SEK and our clients are truly exceptional; never to be in a position where I feel I have let any of them down; inspired by our staff and clients; look forward to the challenges each day brings
