The Members are pleased to announce the following Manager, Supervisor, and Senior Associate promotions, effective January 1, 2026:

Manager Promotions:

woman pink shirtBrianne Dickinson, CPA, promoted to Manager, Assurance & Advisory: With nine years of experience, Brianne provides audit and advisory services, primarily managing nonprofit, construction, and manufacturing & distribution client engagements. She is responsible for training department staff and maintaining strong client relationships, and she serves on the firm’s Assurance & Advisory SEK University Task Force. A magna cum laude graduate of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, Brianne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business with a concentration in Economics and Finance. Outside of work, she is the Treasurer for Morningstar Heights Condominium Association and a member of the G.I.V.E. committee for the United Way of Washington County, MD. Brianne enjoys traveling the world, hiking, kayaking, working out, puzzles, and trying different foods.

woman with blue jacketMichelle Robinson, CPA, MBA, promoted to Manager, Outsourced Solutions: As an integral member of SEK’s Outsourced CFO & Accounting Solutions team, Michelle brings extensive experience supporting nonprofit organizations and small businesses across a variety of industries. She works closely with clients to strengthen financial operations, streamline processes, and implement technology solutions that enhance efficiency and transparency. Michelle partners with clients in a hands-on, collaborative manner, helping them navigate monthly close, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. She also delivers controller-level and CFO-level support, offering strategic insight and practical guidance to help organizations achieve their goals and address operational challenges. In addition to her client-facing work, Michelle supports internal initiatives related to efficiency, technology adoption, and staff development. She helps align team skillsets with client needs and develop best practices for the department. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Shepherd University. Outside the office, she is a Seasons of Hope Catholic Bereavement Ministry Facilitator for St. Joseph Church in Martinsburg. Michelle’s hobbies include reading and writing, trying new coffee shops, and visiting different churches, cathedrals, and historical spots.

man blue suitBrian Wentz, promoted to Client Relationship Manager, Outsourced Solutions: Brian provides outsourced Controller services as an integral part of SEK’s Outsourced CFO & Accounting Solutions team, delivering hands-on financial leadership and operational insight to his clients. With more than 30 years of experience in roles ranging from Accounting Manager to CFO, he supports organizations with a wide spectrum of financial needs, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal control evaluations. Brian works primarily with closely-held businesses, with a focus on the professional services and construction industries. His additional expertise includes transaction coding and analysis, reorganizing bank activity, and streamlining reconciliation processes. A magna cum laude graduate, Brian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Shippensburg University. Outside of work, he actively volunteers with the League of Dreams nonprofit organization in Baltimore. Brian’s hobbies include watching all sports, playing golf, and traveling with friends and family.

 

Supervisor Promotions:

woman with red sweaterKendra Barnhart, promoted to Support Accountant Supervisor, Tax & Accounting Services: Kendra provides QuickBooks, accounting, and payroll services to clients, primarily supporting small businesses across a variety of industries. As a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Kendra specializes in delivering customized QuickBooks solutions, including software setup, Desktop-to-Online conversions, integrated payroll, reporting, and year-end preparation. She regularly conducts QuickBooks training sessions. In addition, she serves on the firm’s Accounting Services Committee and Payroll & Accounting Services Efficiency Task Force. Kendra earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Frostburg State University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on new adventures, and truck and tractor pulling.

woman with red sweaterElizabeth Burkey, promoted to Support Accountant Supervisor, Tax & Accounting Services: Liz provides accounting and payroll services to clients, primarily supporting closely-held businesses and specializing in multi-state payrolls. In addition to her client responsibilities, Liz serves on the firm’s PrimePay Champions Team and assists with implementing the software’s rollout and updates firmwide. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Evangel University. Outside of work, Liz serves as the Treasurer for Light to the Nations. Her hobbies include playing recreational softball, skiing, spending time with her family, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

woman with teal jacketStephanie Hall, promoted to Supervisor, Assurance & Advisory: Stephanie primarily works on employee benefit plan audits, with a focus on 401(k), 403(b), and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) audits. She also supports the commercial audit team by assisting clients across a variety of entity types. Stephanie helps clients gain a clearer understanding of their financial information by identifying patterns and trends that support informed decision-making. She also supports clients in maintaining compliance with federal regulatory requirements related to employee benefit plans. Stephanie graduated cum laude from Mount St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening with her husband, watching her son swim and play basketball, convincing her kids to watch corny movies with her, and playing with their two cats. Stephanie also spends a lot of time with her very large extended family.

man with blue suitJordan Harmon, CPA, promoted to Supervisor, Assurance & Advisory: Jordan delivers audit and assurance services to clients, primarily serving commercial entities, nonprofit organizations, and financial institutions. He specializes in supporting financial institutions with the implementation of new accounting standards and navigating complex accounting requirements. Jordan is a member of the Assurance & Advisory SEK University Task Force. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Information Assurance from Frostburg State University. Outside of work, Jordan enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his two and a half year old son, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, traveling, working on home improvement projects, and anything food related.

woman with brown jacketMorgan Horst, CPA, MBA, promoted to Supervisor, Tax & Accounting Services: Morgan delivers comprehensive tax and accounting services to individuals and small business owners. She works closely with clients on tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation. Her industry specialties include manufacturing, construction, food service, and retail. Morgan serves as chair of the firm’s Tax Technology Efficiency Task Force. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration with an Accounting concentration from Shippensburg University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, being outside (especially in the summer), and planting and growing flowers.

woman with black jacketGrace Kyle, MBA, promoted to Supervisor, Assurance & Advisory: Grace delivers audit and assurance services for governments and nonprofits, primarily focusing on small to medium-sized townships, large boroughs, school districts, and conservation districts. She works on audit engagements from the initial planning stages to financial statement preparation. Grace holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Shippensburg University. She is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma (AACSB International Business Honors Society). Grace is also working toward obtaining her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, going to the gym, and spending time outdoors with her dog. <

woman with black jacketAlexis McKain, promoted to Supervisor, Assurance & Advisory: Alexis provides audit services to nonprofit and affordable housing clients. She supports audit engagements throughout the process, from planning through financial statement preparation. Alexis specializes in implementing the latest lease standards for her clients, where applicable. A cum laude graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University, Alexis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a Cybersecurity minor. Outside of work, she enjoys doing arts and crafts projects and visiting museums/historical sites around the area.

 

Senior Associate Promotions:

man with blue shirtMason Gembe, promoted to Senior Associate, Tax & Accounting Services: Mason delivers a full range of tax services for individuals and closely-held businesses. His work includes tax return and financial statement preparation, with a focus on practical, client-specific solutions that align with current regulatory standards. Mason holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Shippensburg University. Outside of work, he enjoys watching and playing basketball, taking his dogs for walks, and bingeing TV shows with his wife.
 

woman with black sweaterMelinda Hitz, promoted to Senior Associate, Assurance & Advisory: Primarily working with nonprofit organizations and closely-held businesses, Mindy provides clients with audit services and 990 tax return preparation, with a particular focus on the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PFHA) industry. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Therapy from Cedar Crest College. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business with a focus on Accounting from Penn State University World Campus and is also working toward obtaining her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Outside of work, Mindy enjoys playing video games, taking care of her pets (12 cats, two of which are special needs “wobble” cats, and 11 reptiles), drawing, painting, clay making, and trying new foods.

woman with black sweaterKristi Horn, promoted to Senior Associate, Outsourced Solutions: A member of the firm’s Outsourced CFO & Accounting Solutions team, Kristi assists clients with bookkeeping consulting and support, including bank reconciliations and general ledger adjustments. She also provides payroll services and online sales & use tax filing submissions. As a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, Kristi also delivers effective QuickBooks support. Kristi specializes in working with governmental entities, construction, and retail businesses. She works on-site at client locations on a weekly basis as their outsourced bookkeeper, handling accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, and other accounting-related tasks. Kristi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Purdue University Global. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking their annual trip to Disney, crafting, shopping, and lounging by the pool. Kristi also enjoys spending time at her children’s sporting events, including baseball and soccer, and attending theater to watch her daughter in plays.

man with purple shirtFausto Prezioso, MBA, promoted to Senior Associate, Assurance & Advisory; Outsourced Solutions: Fausto specializes in working with nonprofit and governmental clients. He provides audit services as part of the firm’s Assurance & Advisory department. Also a member of the firm’s Outsourced CFO & Accounting Solutions department, Fausto delivers outsourced CFO services and serves as an integral member of each client’s team. In this role, he takes on day-to-day or monthly accounting responsibilities to support client operations and financial management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Millersville University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Louisiana State University Shreveport. Outside of work, Fausto enjoys cheering on the Baltimore Ravens and watching UFC.

man with white shirtRiley Wolfensberger, promoted to Senior Associate, Tax & Accounting Services: Riley delivers tax and accounting services to small business owners, focusing primarily on business tax returns while also assisting with individual tax returns. He provides a range of accounting services, including financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable and invoicing. Riley also prepares payroll, including retirement deferrals and multi-state withholdings. Riley holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from McDaniel College. Outside of work, he enjoys watching college and NFL football (especially the LA Chargers), playing recreational sports like tennis, pickleball, and basketball, PC gaming, casual poker with friends, and watching movies and TV (particularly thrillers, sci-fi, horror, and anime). Riley is also a big animal lover.
