Morgan Horst, CPA, MBA, Supervisor at SEK, CPAs & Advisors, has been named the 2026 Emerging Business Leader of the Year by the Cumberland Valley Business Alliance (CVBA). She was honored at CVBA’s annual Awards Breakfast on March 25 at Antrim BIC Church.

The Emerging Business Leader of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding professional under the age of 40 who is making a meaningful impact in their field while helping to shape the future of the local community. Presented by CVBA, honorees are selected based on their dedication to advancing their profession, demonstrated leadership, and active engagement in community initiatives. Candidates must live or work in the region, represent a CVBA member organization, and exemplify the qualities of a rising leader dedicated to both professional excellence and community growth.

Morgan was selected in recognition of her rapid professional growth, strong leadership qualities, and meaningful contributions both within the firm and the community. Since joining SEK as an intern, she has quickly advanced to Supervisor, consistently demonstrating initiative, reliability, and a commitment to excellence. Morgan has stepped into key leadership roles, including managing client projects, taking on expanded responsibilities during busy periods, and earning selection for the firm’s Launchpad program, which demonstrates her ability to lead with confidence and deliver results. She was previously honored with CVBA’s 2023 Rising Star Award, further highlighting her impressive growth trajectory and strong potential for continued success.

In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, Morgan is actively involved in developing others and supporting firmwide initiatives. She serves on internal committees, participates in leadership development programs, and mentors new staff. Outside of work, she is engaged in the Franklin County community, serving on the board of the Chambersburg Chamber Foundation and contributing to local events. Additionally, she is a member of the current class of Leadership Franklin County. Her professional achievements and community involvement reflect a strong commitment to making a lasting impact
